Rwama Farmers Cooperative Society is currently operating with about 2,000 contributing members. 

The farmers bring their cherry to the factory for sorting and processing as soon as it is picked: The coffee is depulped, then fermented underwater for 15–23 hours before being washed three times and spread on raised drying beds for 6–7 days.
